Love Beyond Blood

In a world that trembles with spite
and fear often speaks
a sister may rise from the dust
of the bare streets.
Not born of your blood, yet fierce in her grace, she walks:
into your life , into your battles
and stands in your place.
Such ties aren’t woven in wombs or kin,
but stitched by God’s whisper
that calls heart to skin.
For the soul always knows
when a blessing draws near:
and the heart feels her presence,
before she is even there.
That sister is laughter in storms,
peace in the night;
a mirror of courage that turns fear
into flight.
She is designed by destiny; chosen,
not made; an angel in sandals,
in love, fearless.
So here’s to the women
God has planted your way;
who lift you from shadows
and brighten your day.
For not all our sisters share family trees; some are heaven-sent gifts
that bring life to its knees.
And blessed, blessed, blessed
is the one who finds a sister of the soul;
for she is a God-sent treasure
that life grants
only to the truly fortunate.
