About Us: “Africa Through our Eyes” – Feelnubia

Feelnubia is telling the stories of those who are shaping Africa’s future today.
Feelnubia: Telling Africa’s Story, In Our Voices
Africa is the cradle of humanity. While this is widely known, what often goes untold is the extraordinary journey of African culture—how it migrated across continents, shaped civilizations, and continues to influence the world. At Feelnubia, we exist to reconnect Africa’s past with its present and to celebrate the brilliance, resilience, and global significance of African people, culture, and knowledge.
Our Vision
To inspire pride and respect for the culture, history, and enduring contributions of Africa and its people.
Our Mission
To spotlight the untold stories of African excellence; through history, heritage, and humanity, by educating, curating, and amplifying Africa’s rich cultural legacy and global impact.
Our Work: Program Areas
🔹 Advocacy
Championing the recognition of Africa’s rightful place in global history. We advocate for the respect and integration of African cultural values in education, media, and heritage institutions.
🔹 Curating
We are building an encyclopedia of African civilization; a living, multilingual museum (virtual and physical) that documents our languages, artifacts, philosophies, innovations, and ways of life.
🔹 Education
We make African knowledge accessible to all. Through documentaries, books, videos, research, and digital platforms, we educate learners and educators while challenging distorted historical narratives, fact-checking, and correcting mainstream sources like Wikipedia.
How We Do It: Tools We Use
📚 Research
We fund and conduct anthropological and desk research, shedding light on overlooked histories, hidden truths, and unrecognized African achievements.
✍🏿 Content Development
Our creative team transforms verified research into inspiring content; films, articles, exhibits, and more, backed by cultural evidence and African voices.
Why We Do It: Our Motivation
At Feelnubia, we believe in the power of storytelling, not just to inform but to transform. Africa’s story is not one of lack—it is one of legacy. Our motivation is best captured in the voices of giants:
“Africa has her mysteries, and even a wise man cannot understand them. But a wise man respects them.” — Miriam Makeba
“You were African before you were anything else.” — Bose Ogulu
“We have been myth-led for 500 years… It’s time to insist that educators teach the truth.” — Jane Elliott
“Within Africa lies the mystery of both the past and the future… We owe future generations our account.” — Funmilola Ronke Babalola, Founder & Executive Editor.
Africa is not a footnote in human history. It is the first chapter and the blueprint. Feelnubia exists to tell African stories correctly, boldly, and authentically.
