About FeelNubia: Home of Africa’s Intelligentsia

Who We Are

FeelNubia is a historical and cultural heritage organization that is a global gathering place for the Nubian spirit. We’re more than a website; we’re a movement. A digital village. A virtual meeting ground for Africans and people of African descent from every corner of the globe. From the Nilo-Saharan to the Niger-Kordofanian, from the Afro-Asiatic to the Khoisan cultures of the Motherland, and indigenous Australians and Afro-Latinos, we recognize, celebrate, and unite them all.

What’s in a Name?

To us, Nubia means Black, African, Afrocentric, Afrilosophical, Afrofuturistic, and rooted in ancestral pride. It speaks of a rich skin tone, but more than that, it speaks of heritage. Feel represents the soul. The heartbeat. The spiritual depth that connects us to the earth, to each other, and our Creator. Together, Feel Nubia is a call to experience and amplify the essence of African identity.

Our Roots Run Deep

Humanity began in Africa. But our story didn’t stop there. Our ancestors journeyed across the earth, shaping civilizations and cultures from Asia to the Americas. Yet much of that legacy has been distorted or erased.

We stand to reclaim it.

Our Mission: The Home of Africa’s Intelligentsia

FeelNubia is committed to becoming the global home of Africa’s intelligentsia. We offer a platform where African thinkers, scholars, artists, and visionaries converge to share ideas, challenge false narratives, and shape the future. We aim to highlight African intellectual traditions, foster critical dialogue, and uplift new generations of thought leaders committed to our collective advancement.

Our Vision

  • To inspire a unified Nubian nation beyond borders, tribes, religions, or dialects.

  • To include all African descendants on the journey to rediscovery and pride.

  • To gather people who hold fast to identity, unity, and hope.

Why We Do What We Do

“Our union must know no clime, boundary, or nationality… let us hold together under all climes and in every country.” — Marcus Garvey.

“We must tell our own stories… Our science and origins have been relocated to Greece.” — Phillip Emeagwali.

“Africans must move beyond victimhood to claim their rightful space.” — Patricia de Lille.

“Africa has survived centuries of exploitation. Yet, she endures. Her people are still here. Standing. Unbowed.” — Ronke Babalola, FeelNubia Executive Director

The danger of the single story…” — Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Spirit of the Name

The name Afre-Kh (or Kh-Afre) symbolizes “the spirit of Africa.” Whether it stems from the word afar (dust), aprica (sunny), or aphrike (without cold), it reflects vitality. In biblical texts, Ophir (or Auphirah) refers to Africa—a land rich with wisdom, gold, and the Queen who visited Solomon.

Our Essence: The CHIRICHI Spirit

FeelNubia promotes the CHIRICHI philosophy:

  • Change

  • Help Improve

  • Inspire

  • Rule and Reign

  • Invent

  • Challenge

  • Hope

  • Initiate

We echo the voices of great scholars like Marcus Garvey, Runoko Rashidi, Ivan Van Sertima, and Clyde Winters. We build a spiritual, ideological nation for the dispersed Nubian family. From Tamils and Veddoids to Gonds and Afro-Brazilians—we say: You are not alone. We are You and You are Us

Why Now?

If not now, when? Marginalized communities can’t wait for ideal politics or perfect economies. The struggle for dignity, freedom, and visibility is urgent. Institutional racism has spiritual, economic, and social layers. We need collective action.

Let’s revive the spirit of Ubuntu. Let us avoid elite isolation and rediscover our communal strength. In a world ravaged by greed and individualism, the African spirit may be the balm.

Our Tools

We use stories and visuals. Photos. Video clips. Every day, voices. We welcome your voice, your lens, your truth. Show us who you are. Say it with pictures. Say it with pride.

We advocate truth with grace. Identity with dignity. Change with courage.

“Up, you mighty race. You can accomplish what you will.” — Marcus Garvey
